Double Exposure, Kalista

I've loved everyone's posts on this topic, but I was going to skip it myself because it seemed too overwhelming. Akasha walked me through the steps (thanks so much Akasha!) but it still took a long time to decide what pictures to use and put it together. It ended up being fun though and if I had more time I'd do another! Thanks for picking this topic.

I couldn't decide if I preferred color or sepia so here are both. :)

Double Exposure-Akasha (again)

I had so much fun with this topic, so this morning I decided I would try out another one! This one I did in color and went a little crazy with the layering.

Double Exposures (S)

I had an impossibly hard time with this assignment. Finding images that line up nicely when layered: hard! Finding images with colors that work together: hard! Deciding which images to use: hard! In retrospect, I really should have stuck with B&W images.

This was my first attempt, a shot of my favorite lamp over a picture I took earlier this month in the park.

This was my messy second attempt: two photos from an art opening I went to earlier this month.

This last one is the only one I like. I went for a "painting the roses red" (from Alice in Wonderland) kind of idea. I have an LED flashlight that always looked really purple to me. I lit two paintbrushes using the flashlight, and layered that purple-y image over some hydrangeas. I ended up making half the background B&W to highlight the "painting" idea.

All in all, it was fun! I definitely learned a lot in the process.

Double Exposure (Lisa)

It was really easy and fun to do double exposure. I am sure there is so much to learn about this type of photography but here are my fun attempts.

Double Exposures- Akasha

This was such a fun topic! I've never created a double exposure image before, so it was definitely a learning experience! I love playing with Photoshop so this was a perfect excuse to try something new. ( The giraffe images I took at the Pittsburgh Zoo, and the background image of the cranes and Mt. Rainier I took in Seattle about a year ago)

B/W Jessica L.

I have been so lame in posting, and probably will continue to be lame since I am expecting a baby any day now, but I have loved looking at everyone's photos. So much talent!
